Serial Number: 1 · The First of Its Kind
Back in the 1970s, Browning launched one of the most remarkable contests in firearms history — a nationwide search for the oldest working Auto-5 shotgun still capable of being loaded and fired. A close family friend of Palace Jewelry & Loan answered the call, entering their own Browning Auto-5 bearing Serial #10. That historic shotgun was loaded, shouldered, and fired before the judges — and won.
The prize was extraordinary: Serial Number 1 of Browning's prestigious Two Millionth Commemorative Edition — brand new, never fired, and bestowed upon the winner. Both the legendary Serial #1 Commemorative and the very Serial #10 that won the contest will be on display together at this event. Two chapters of the same incredible story, reunited publicly for the very first time.
